SOCIAL ISSUES Announces the Annual Student Lecture Series: Blake Mycoskie. Founder and Chief Shoe Giver of TOMS Shoes will be featured for the 2010 Student Lecture Series on January 26 at the Lied Center of Kansas at 7:30 PM. The One for One business model has encouraged conscientious consumers to purchase and give more than 140,000 pairs of new shoes to children in need in just 3 years. By the end of 2009, TOMS will have given an additional 500,000 pairs of new shoes to children in need all around the world, including at home in the US. The One for One business model is redefining social entrepreneurship for a new generation.

Tickets are available NOW at the SUA Box Office, Kansas Union, Level 4, Monday through Friday 9AM to 5PM.

The event is co-sponsored with the KU School of Journalism, KU School of Business, TOMS Shoes KU, Sharks Surf Shop, Coca-Cola and the Lied Center of Kansas.

The event is general admission and free for everyone, but it will require a ticket for everyone. For more information call 785.864.7469. *phone orders require a $5 fee
